Client Testimonials

I visited Nepal in September 2006 for the purpose of trekking in the Annapurna Sanctuary area. I was introduced to Clan Treks and Bishwa Chapagain by a mutual friend from the United Kingdom.

The level of service I received from Clan Treks was second to none, in fact a close friendship has developed as a result of the 10 days we spend trekking in the Sanctuary...

Chomolhari Trek

chomolhari-trekThe Chomolhari trek follows the crystal clear trout rich upstream trail of Para Chu along the verdant rhododendron canopied forests and salubrious green alpine meadows. Mt. Chomolhari, having one of the most beautiful peaks in the Eastern Himalaya, stands at a magnificent, with age old frontier forts and sprawling yak pastures in its foreground; a truly rewarding sight for the determined trekker. One the course of the trek, one will have sojourned through several places rich in history in Paro, Thimphu and Punakha.

This trek gifts you with great variety of Bhutanese landscapes and is without doubt one of the most beautiful and unspoiled trekking areas in the entire Himalayas. The trek begins at Drugyel dzong passing through beautiful villages, scattered hamlets and farmland. Different vegetation from richly forested valley to high alpine pastureland where Yak herders graze their animals. Trout fishing in the sky blue lake with magnificent view of three majestic peaks are some activities which can be done on a rest day. Spectacular view of Mt. Chomolhari (7314m/23,990ft.) from a high camp at Jangothang is most rewarding. You will also encounter rare species like the blue sheep & snow leopard.
