I visited Nepal in September 2006 for the purpose of trekking in the Annapurna Sanctuary area. I was introduced to Clan Treks and Bishwa Chapagain by a mutual friend from the United Kingdom.
The level of service I received from Clan Treks was second to none, in fact a close friendship has developed as a result of the 10 days we spend trekking in the Sanctuary...

Certainly trekking is a thrilling visit in the odd land on foot undergoing a different kind of experience with typical agrarian people in Nepal. Because of the difficulty in land structure only enjoyable and authentic way of viewing the sublimity of those Himalayas is certainly trekking which refreshes those who are from the commotion of the hectic city life. Most of the people obviously realize trekking as the only means to comfort the mind and body even facing the physical challenges of the land as well as the implacable and unpredictable weather. But every hardship that you are eager to take in are swiftly organized in short or long treks with veteran Nepali guides and porters.
Nepal is famous for trekking. Nepal has aptly been called "A Trekkers' Paradise" as her terrain-mountains, hills and the Terai-offers some of e most spectacular trekking routes in the world.
Fortunately for the visitor, there are still only a few roads extending deeply into the hills, so the only way to truly visit the remote regions of the kingdom is in the slowest and most intimate manner - walking. It requires more time and effort, but the rewards are also greater. Instead of zipping down a freeway, racing to the next "point of interest," each step provides new and intriguing viewpoints.
Trekking is not mountaineering, although some of the popular trekking trails are used by mountaineering expeditions on their approach marches. A trekking trip can be any length you choose- there are popular treks in kathmandu and Pokhara valleys.
The variance in altitudes and climates in Nepal support an equally spectacular mix of lifestyles, vegetation and wildlife. Trekking in Nepal is as much a cultural experience as a Himalayan adventure.
Trekking in Nepal will take you through a country that has captured the imagination of mountaineers and explorers for more than 100 years. You will meet people in remote mountain villages whose lifestyle has not changed in generations. The culture, the different life styles of different ethnic people, the geographical condition etc are able to make your visit memorable through your life. All these are possible through trekking.
