This
is a newly opened river that provides exciting white water
rapids and beautiful views. It is a class 4 river that has
great camping spots. Trips on the Marsyangdi generally take
6 to 7 days. Marshyangdi tumbles down through the Annapurna
round, the most popular trekking trail in Nepal. Featuring
one day of easy trekking and five days of impressive nonstop
(grade 4 to5 rapids) rafting and unparalleled Mountain View,
this jewel of river is rated as a favorite by the rafters
who have been privileged to paddle in.
Itinerary:
DAY1: You will be driven to Khudi. It takes 8 hours to reach Khudi Village, which is also a starting point for Annapurna Circuit Trek. You will camp on the bank of the river.
DAY 2: After early breakfast start hiking for 2 hours. Arrive at Nagdi. It takes about 3 hours to raft back to the Khudi. It’s a class IV white water. You can see fascinating views of Mt. Manasalu and over 8000m Himalayan peaks from the raft.
DAY3: Today you paddle for some great class III-IV white water rapids. It takes about 3 hours to the newly built dam at Phalesanghu. Here you pull out and load everything in the bus and then go down to Bhote Odhar and raft down to Paundi and camp there. From the campsite you can feast the whole Annapurna Range with your eyes.
DAY4: The concluding day breaks in with early breakfast and then you set off for 3 hours ultimate rafting experience. Come back with the feeling of being adventurously rewarded. Around the afternoon you will have lunch and head towards the next destination.
