Manaslu Trekking offers you a very unique opportunity to experience relatively "untouched" region of Nepal and provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and China. Manaslu (8156m.) stands like a timeless sentry between Tibet and Nepal, This epic trip circumnavigates the entire massif. As we walk the gentle Somrie Khola River valley, with its Tamang and Chhetri villages, we see sal and pine forests. This area with rich in natural and cultural heritage was opened for the trekkers very recently. The trek begins from Gorkha. Circling the entire Manaslu range (8100m) this trek offers a great opportunity to explore the cultural diversity in central Nepal.

Because of its isolation and newness to tourism, this trip must be done as a full service trek through an official trekking company. All supplies necessary for the trip (including food and kerosene) must be carried in and all rubbish must be ported out. A Nepalese Liaison Officer must accompany each group to assure protection of both the fragile environment and cultures there.
